Story
of the car:
I have been looking for a 600 limo for some time. Last october one of the
selling guy of my company told me that a german cunstomer decided to sell
some of his classic Mercedes. The agent told him that I was a MB collector,
so the client sent me some pics. One of the cars for sale was a '70 600 limo.
The following week-end I went to Hambourg to inspect the car. Honestly it
was not as good as I expected. In particular the paint was quite poor. Mechanic
and hydraulic in great condition, interior very nice but the leather was redone
(properly). The car is US spec., reimported in 1990.
Price was expensive. After 2 weeks I got a phone call from the owner asking
me to make an offer. I offered a realistic price and after some days he accepted.
On november 1, with 2 friends, I got a plane to Lubeck. We slept in Hambourg
and on november 2 we were leaving to Italy. A 1.400 km. travel!
It was great but the heating system was not working and we arrived at 2.00
a.m., frozen.

has chassis 10001212001668, engine 10098012001723. Ext. color 423 tabak brown,
interior 249 bamboo leather.
